Cutting for Stone

Twin brothers Marion and Shiva Stone are born to a Malayali nurse and British surgeon, then orphaned and raised by two Indian doctors at a remote Ethiopian hospital. Growing up sheltered within the hospital's walls while political turmoil engulfs their country, the brothers' bond is shattered by a bitter conflict that drives Marion to flee to America. Years later, working as an intern at a Bronx hospital, Marion finds himself unable to escape the past when it resurfaces unexpectedly.
