Sport Fishing from Negombo

Experience:

The adventure begins from the Negombo piers, and you can also choose the time of day you wish to fish as well as the number of hours. The morning session begins at 0600 hrs while the evening session begins at 1430 hours. The boat will be a 15-foot standard fisherman's boat with all basic requirements. You will be provided with good sport fishing equipment and bait. If you wish to have advanced features, you can opt for a professional fishing boat for an additional charge, which will be organised upon request.

There are three modes of fishing practiced and enjoyed in Negombo: deep sea fishing, the Negombo Lagoon, or inland. Deep sea fishing is the most popular and loved among visitors too. It's quite challenging and offers a better yield. Deep sea fishing has two methods consisting of trolling and anchor fishing. Trolling is where one or more fishing lines or nets with bait are lured and trailed behind a moving boat. Sometimes they are manually moved from side to side. This method is quite successful, especially in the morning hours. Anchor fishing involves the boat being anchored to a stationary area like a coral reef and the lines being cast thereafter.
